Like the title says…”what were your thoughts.” I remember when mommy took this picture of you. We were in the car and she snapped it with her I-Phone and showed it to me and I was taken back by the picture. The way mommy framed the shot, the way the light bounced off your face and how she captured this long, deep stare beyond the window of the car. When I looked more and more at this photograph of you, you don’t seem to be child at this point. You seem to be a person who has been through the rough tribulations of life where you found your moment of solace driving down the endless highway with your thoughts. Quite frankly one of the most powerful images we have of you.
I ended up making this blog post about this photo because I was going through mommies external back-up drive to see if there is anything interesting that brings back those special moments for me and mommy. And I happen to access one of mommies folders from May 2016 when I came across this gem.
Just know one thing Annelise (and this goes for you too Tyler) you will have days throughout your life that will make you withdraw from the routines of your life. Sometimes people need to take step back, reflect on what is happening and take it all in so you can figure out how to move forward. Its ok to do this. This picture looks as if your reflecting a great deal but at your age you were probably just tired and getting ready to fall asleep. Nevertheless, a great moment caught in your life.
