It’s incredible how time flies. Within a month, our lives have gone through a 180-degree change. One day we are living our lives focusing on our regular schedule to the point that every day has become predictable, and now we closed on our new home in Tennessee. It is surreal how this all happened.
Now we move forward with planning the move and packing. SMH (Shaking my head) We are both happy and sad. Pleased with the beautiful new home we purchased but sad that the house we have and all the memories we filled that home with will be a thing of the past.
This day has been an emotional roller coaster, and after we closed on the sale of the home, we received our keys and found more surprises. The previous owners knew we liked some of the decorations that they had, and we inquired about purchasing them, but they refused.
However, when we entered the house, we found that they left us the fire hydrant and the old barn door, which was suspended in the living room. They were so lovely that they left gifts for Annelise and Tyler. Quite a memorable experience.
And after a bitter-sweet day, we ended up getting our flights canceled due to heavy storms in the area and New York, so we had to check ourselves back into a hotel and ask to extend our car rental.
We had no choice but to stay, so we decided to get some lunch, and then we took a ride to the Green Hills area of Nashville to get some ideas for staging our new house with new furniture. As we are shopping, mommy started to develop stomach issues and nausea. So we decided to head back home.
We were able to get a new flight back early in the morning, so we went to bed early. Around 1:00 am mommy woke me up and told me to take her to the hospital because she is sick.
We went to the hospital in Franklin, and it seems that mommy had gall bladder issues, but her situation was not that bad because they did not have to remove it.
