Baby Teeth Extraction:  Annelise’s Journey

As a parent, going through a medical procedure with your child can be a nerve-wracking experience. For me, this was especially true as I was about to support my  Annelise through the extraction of her baby teeth. After 8 years of having her baby teeth, there was no evidence that they would fall out on their own, so we visited the dentist for a determination. The dentist recommended that her two front upper and two lower front teeth be extracted.

During the procedure, I was with Annelise every step of the way, supporting and comforting her. To make sure she wouldn’t feel any pain, we used nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and local anesthetic (lidocain). This allowed Annelise to stay relaxed and calm throughout the entire process.

I was blown away by Annelise’s bravery. Despite the anxiety and fear that can come with a dental procedure, she remained calm and focused. I was so proud of her strength and resilience.

The extraction was a success, and Annelise was a champion throughout it all. She remained positive and optimistic, and the entire experience was made easier by the kindness and professionalism of the dentist and their team.
