Annelise First Day of School

It seems every milestone you come across my blog posts always start with “I can’t believe….” and I go about how much you have grown and matured. I apologize for repeating this theme but as your father ( and mommy too) its so difficult to grasp that you are growing so quickly. I feel like mommy and I are different than other parents.

All we heard when mommy was pregnant with you was how hard it is to raise a child. How difficult children make life. It all seemed that this bombardment of information from other parents was so negative. On the contrary…its been one of the best experiences of our lives. I can speak for myself and to be honest having you and Tyler IS and WAS the best experience ever for me. I have never enjoyed children like I enjoy the both of you.

So when you enter new milestones its breaks away a piece my heart because I feel I will never have this time with you at the stage that your at. I miss you when you were a little peanut that I held with one arm. I miss you sleeping on my chest and feeding you. Its all the little things that we are going to miss about you. I for one do not want to let that go. So I have a difficult time dealing with it.

The amazing thing is that parents also said that this period flies within the context of time. My GOD! They were not kidding. But I guess I have to “grow-up” and move on and let you live and grow. So congratulations Annelise on your first day of school. Mommy and Daddy are very proud of you.
