So today I had the privilege of accompanying my little girl on a class trip to the Whaling Museum in Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island. So daddy and Anne woke up early had breakfast and we had to meet the other children and parents at the school by 9:15 am. At that point, we will be boarding a yellow school bus ( your favorite Anne) and heading Northeast to Cold Springs.

The Whaling Museum & Education Center, formerly known as The Whaling Museum, is a maritime museum located in Cold Spring Harbor, New York dedicated to exploring the local history and impact of the whaling industry, the maritime heritage of Long Island, and the relationship between people and the ocean.

This will be our first time visiting a museum. I am looking forward to this so much. I remember bringing you to school when you were 2.5 years old and now I’m taking a class trip to a museum with my daughter.

A small museum that is packed with information about whaling in the history of the area. From whales bones to items from whaling ships and information about whaling in Long Island. They also have a small play area for kids that reintroduce the atmosphere and environment of the whaling era.

Towards the end of the day, we were all brought into a arts & crafts room where we all made whale-related crafts. Here daddy and you made a whale together.
