So it’s Saturday March 25th around 1115 in the morning. Daddy is unfortunately at work when he gets a text message from mommy. Instead of actual text she sent me a photo of you at New Unique Cleaners which is a dry cleaning location where they also do alterations to mens & womens clothing. Annelise. You may be three years old at this time but let me tell you how you love this place. I’ve never come across a child that loves the dry cleaner more than you. There is a reason that you do love “Pete” the dry cleaner. If you don’t remember the key word to remember is “POPS.”
Yes, “POPS!” You loved lollipops back then. Everytime I went to see “Pete” to either drop off or pick-up clothing he always gave me (2) lollipops for you and Tyler. And when the two of you would see that magical candy drop on a stick you two crazy kids would have never ending smiles. Sometimes the way you two looked when having a lollipop reminded me of some of the movies I have seen in the past when two guys put in a hard days work and would kick back with a good cigar and relax.
I digress. So I received these photo’s of you. And I was taken back with the amount of cuteness and beauty that came into my line of site. I know you heard me say it a million times and I know you must of came across the phrase numerous times reading it on this blog. I could not believe that this was my baby girl. I remember like it was yesterday holding you in my arms and here you stand in front of a tailor like a young lady getting her dress tailored for the ball. SMH!
I was curious how you were handling the situation. You are 3 years old so I figured you would wan to be playing around or you would be crying. Nope! Based on the pictures you were handling it like a sophisticated adult. When I asked mommy how you were doing she said that you are very mature for you your age. You were all into it, basking in all the attention you were receiving. I will say you were breathtaking. I actually teared up at my desk. Sometimes until this day I cannot believe I have such a beautiful daughter.
We have you at the tailor having your dressed tailored, you have mommy all proud and taking a thousand pictures and me with a tear hanging off my face and you are wondering what is this all about? Well in about 2 weeks on Friday, April 07th, 2017 you were asked indirectly to participate in your cousins “Sweet 16” Birthday party. So here we are. Mommy bought you this beautiful dress and the commotion begins. Your cousin Mellanie is turning 16 years old and are having a huge party for her. I cannot wait to see you Annelise when your hair is done and you have that dress on. That’s going to be a site. You know I’ll be taking a miilion photos that day. I can imagine what the blog post will look like that day. Im probably going to have to call the hosting company to give me more data space just for the photo’s.
Nevertheless, you will look magnificent that day and everyone will be so happy to see you. You know what I look forward to Chuchi? Is to have my first formal dance with my little girl? To have that moment captured in time. To take that photo of you and I dancing and have it next to the photo where I am holding you as a new born baby. WoW! You are growing up so fast. But one thing for sure we will all have a good time that day.
