Daddy is so excited Annelise. When mommy called me two months ago to put the date on my phone I couldn’t wait. I saw all my friends who have daughters go to there “daddy-daughter” dance this is something I was looking forward too.
What I liked about yours is that it was themed as a “Sock-Pop” dance. Sock-Pops was a popular thing in the 1950s where a lot of pop music was played. Kids wore jeans, with the pants cuff high where the socks were exposed. Girls wore long dresses that they can twirl in. The popular music then was DOO-WOP.
I am so happy to be here with you. And I’ll let you in on a little secret. See the jacket I’m wearing. Its called an “MC” short for a motorcycle jacket. I always wanted one. So I found a store here in Nashville and bought a jacket I always wanted. This is the real thing made from heavy cow-hide. Double Plus.
